The
greatest freedom you have is the freedom to think. So why aren’t you exercising
your greatest freedom?
August’s Awakening, Day 10
Thinking is the hardest work there is,
which is probably the reason why so few engage in it.
—Henry Ford
People demand freedom of speech as a
compensation for the freedom of thought which they never use.
—S. Kierkegaard
hear
me and answer me. My thoughts trouble me and I am distraught Psalm 55:2

How
precious to me are your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them! Psalm
139:17 NIV
As
humans, we are all inherently lazy, trying to accomplish essentials with the
minimum amount of effort. Thinking takes much effort and can be greatly
draining, especially if not exercised often. We have the greatest resource of
infinite knowledge available to us all through God Himself. We do not need to
have genius IQ’s to be intellectually savvy. It’s really a question of
motivation and desire. The more knowledge you gain the greater will be the
desire to attain more, and the knowledge base is limitless. Allow God to help
you direct your thoughts and yearning for knowledge, wisdom, and practical good
sense. Your thoughts make you who you are and the single best way to improve
yourself is to learn more. Make the effort. Let God give you direction. Make it
a point to make yourself the best you can be. Think profusely and profoundly.
