Don’t Waste Your Mind

Are you limiting yourself and the ability of your mind to excel? If you’re not learning something new each day you’re wasting your mind away.

August’s Awakening, Day 9

There are two ways to slide easily through life: to believe everything or to doubt everything. Both ways save us from thinking.

 —Alfred Korzybski

A nation or civilization that continues to produce soft-minded men purchases its own spiritual death on an installment plan.

 —Martin Luther King, Jr.

Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do. James 1:8 NIV

The greatest tragedy is the untapped resource of a mind that could be. God has given us great intellect and analytical prowess to comprehend and explain ourselves and the world we live in. God has given us supreme hierarchy and dominion over all to be the guardians and caretakers of humanity and creation. We have great minds and greater minds there will be and greater each day our minds can become. Don’t waste your mind on frivolity and mediocrity. God has given you a mind to soar and reach the stars. Mental exercise takes effort and continual work and application just like everything else in life. The single best thing you can do to exercise your mind is to read and study challenging topics. Stay mentally active and sharp and your entire well-being will benefit from it. Live a life that is thought provoking, creative, with continual learning abounding. There is nothing better that you can do for yourself and all humanity.
