The Bible is the Christian’s life-instruction
manual. Yes, we’ve all heard that a million times before – the trouble is,
we’ve ignored it just as many. Isn’t it time you got serious?
November’s
Awakening, Day 2
If you are serious about changing your life, you are
going to have to get into the Bible. You need to read it, study it, memorize
it, meditate on it, and apply it.
—Rick Warren, “God's Power to Change Your Life
(Living with Purpose)”
The Word is for our instruction, guidance, training
in how to live, and wisdom so that we can be complete, perfected, and ready for
every good work that God has for us to do in our lifetime.
—Marcy Lemasters, “It's not my fault. – God”
As you study your Bible with the help of the Holy
Spirit, and live out the truths that God reveals to you, you will discover new
stability, strength, and confidence.
—Kay Arthur
All
Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and
training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly
equipped for every good work.
2 Timothy 3:16–17 NIV
If
you want to know and live in the truth, if you want to become spiritual, if you
want to connect with God and stay connected, then you’ll have to delve deep
into His Word and not only find God there, but find yourself there, too. Knowing
and connecting with God is a process, one step at a time, each step building
upon the former. Just like in mathematics, you can’t understand and appreciate
the nuances of calculus until you’ve mastered algebra. Make a conscious
decision to start today and finish strong through the end – it’s your life
journey.
