If
you truly want a spiritual relationship with God, then you need to have a place
to meet Him.
November’s Awakening, Day 1
The Bible is the Christians
guide in all areas of life. God’s word is eternal; it never changes. It is to
be the foundation for every person in Christ Jesus.
—Dr.
Tom Knotts, “10 Steps to Abiding in Christ”
The Bible is not simply
a guide for life, a collection of wise sayings and wonderful stories. It is
both the meeting place and the instrument that brings you and God together.
—Woodrow
Kroll, “How to Find God in the Bible: A Personal Plan for the Encounter of Your
Life”
God is spirit and God is everywhere, and you can find Him
in the most unusual of places, but His Word is assuredly the best place to
start if you’re seeking Him out. He has written those timeless words to speak
life into your very heart and soul, right now. There is no better way to meet
Him and receive guidance and instruction, than by letting His words reverberate
throughout your entire being. Meditating, in the biblical sense, means that you
are intently focused, reflecting on, and contemplating deeply, what those words
are provoking in your deepest thoughts. The words will come alive if you are
open to receive and let them, and God is everywhere within them.
