Don’t let a
perceived failure stop you from reaching the next milestone. Make your failures
become stepping stones. Victories happen one failure overcome at a time.
September’s Awakening, Day 3
Never confuse a single defeat with a
final defeat.
—F. Scott Fitzgerald
I haven’t failed, I’ve found 10,000
ways that don’t work.
—Benjamin
Franklin
Show me a thoroughly satisfied man,
and I will show you a failure.
—Thomas A. Edison
Now
we pray to God that you will not do anything wrong—not so that people will see
that we have stood the test but so that you will do what is right even though
we may seem to have failed. For we cannot do anything against the truth, but
only for the truth. We are glad whenever we are weak but you are strong; and
our prayer is that you may be fully restored. 2
Corinthians 13:7–9 NIV
The game of life is not over till
the last breath and beat of your heart. Until then, each perceived failure is
simply one more step in determining what works and what doesn’t. Answers and
solutions to the pressing problems of life never come easy. Miracles and
breakthroughs will come, but one must never stop pursuing, for certainly then
you will fail. Furthermore, the puzzle is ever-changing. What is high tech and
the best solution today, may be totally archaic and antiquated in just a few
years. So, it’s not just finding the answers, it’s a process of continually
finding better answers. May each perceived failure propel you to the next
milestone, and when you’ve reached that, may you press further on to the next
better answer.
