To
stay healthy and spiritually mature, you need to make sure you have enough
“p’s” in your life.
July’s Awakening, Day 5
A champion is someone who gets up even
when they can’t.

Permanence, perseverance and
persistence in spite of all obstacles, discouragements, and impossibilities: It
is this, that in all things distinguishes the strong soul from the weak.
—Thomas Carlyle
You
need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive
what he has promised. Hebrews 10:36 NIV
We’ve heard it all before, but true
it is. Never give up, pick yourself up and dust yourself off, and keep on
going. It is perfectly fine to take time to mourn and grieve losses, have times
of respite and recuperation, periods of rest and relaxation, sabbaticals, and
other times like these to rest, mend, and prepare for the next stages ahead. It
is truly a state of mind to keep moving positively ever forward, learning from
past mistakes, making changes for the better, and focusing on what is to come
rather than what you’ve left behind. It is a continual process of always
“becoming,” as you will never fully arrive, but you never stop heading in that
right direction. It’s embracing the “p’s”—patient endurance, persistence,
perseverance, and making it a permanent part of who you are. It’s hanging on to
the cord of the zipline and not letting go till you make it to the end.
