Seek God’s Purpose

You were created for such a mission and for such a time as this. Have you discovered your life’s mission? Are you traveling down it’s road?
December’s Awakening, Day 1

Everyone who breathes, high and low, educated and ignorant, young and old, man and woman, has a mission, has a work. We are not sent into this world for nothing; we are not born at random; we are not here, that we may go to bed at night, and get up in the morning, toil for our bread, eat and drink, laugh and joke, sin when we have a mind, and reform when we are tired of sinning, rear a family and die. God sees every one of us; He creates every soul…for a purpose.

 John Henry Newman

The main thing in this world is not being sure what God's will is, but seeking it sincerely, and following what we do understand of it. The only possible answer to the destiny of man is to seek without respite to fulfil God's purpose.

 —P. Tournier

For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your fatherʼs family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?” Esther 4:14 NIV

You have been created by God for a specific purpose and for precisely this time in history. Each of us is unique and God has a special path laid out for us to follow. It is up to us to discover what that path and purpose is and pursue it diligently and wholeheartedly. When we are living our lives in the light of our discovered purpose, we will be living in God’s will and therefore, we will be the most satisfied and blessed by what we are doing. This world has many potential roads to follow, and we may be successful on many of them, yet it is only the road that God has prepared for us to travel on where we will truly know and experience the fullness of life and the fullness of Him. It’s time to discover your mission and purpose in life and travel relentlessly down that road—this is your destiny—this is what you were created for—for such a time as this.
