High Aspirations

Are you looking up and stretching to reach your dreams and aspirations and accomplishing great things for Him? If not, then you’re stuck in the forgotten world of yesterday and life is passing you by.

December’s Awakening, Day 6

Far away there in the sunshine are my highest aspirations. I may not reach them, but I can look up and see their beauty, believe in them, and try to follow where they lead.

 Louisa May Alcott

You must do the thing you think you cannot do.

 —Eleanor Roosevelt

I had rather attempt something great and fail, than to attempt nothing at all and succeed.

 —Dr. Robert Schuller

Dream big. Set high goals and standards. Put your aspirations out of reach so you have something to stretch for. The most growth and advancement in our lives comes when we look past what we are today and strive to be the gold standard of tomorrow. Do not rest on yesterday’s laurels. That was for yesterday. Today is the first day of the rest of your life so make it count, exceed expectations, and become the epitome of greatness in Him.

Your life purpose is certainly not to be stagnant and stale and living in yesterday. Do not limit yourself to what you think you can do only on your own, for remember, He is with you to empower you to accomplish more than you could ever imagine. It’s a team effort, and with God on your team you will not lose if you’re listening to His instruction. He knows every nuance of life—He created it—and He has designed and destined you to win with greatness.
