While we
eagerly wait for His return, the rapture, the "blessed hope", we
should be living lives that are worthy of, and mirror, Him. Our salvation and
redemption comes through the heavy price paid by Jesus on the cross. We are His
own.
July's Message, Day 18:
For the grace of God has appeared that offers
salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly
passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present
age, while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great
God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all
wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to
do what is good. Titus 2:11-14 NIV
God's grace
is poured out on us through our Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ. The
"blessed hope" is His return for us, the rapture, the event that we
as believers look for, long for, live for, and hope for. Since we are His very
own, bought with a heavy price, we are called out of this world and called to
be in union with His Spirit and to live exemplary lives that mirror Him. We
will always be sinners and never be perfect, but we should always be repentant
and empowered and enabled by His Spirit to continually be better. HIs salvation
offer is to all people, anyone who would come. We, His redeemed people, are asked
to be His messengers and tell all the world the Good News.
