Indescribable.
That is precisely what the Lord our God is. Yet as majestic in every way that
He is, He is also near and dear and loves each of us in an unconditional and
indescribable and unfathomable way as well. I can't wait to go home!
July's Message, Day 21:
Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and
knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing
out! “Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?” “Who
has ever given to God, that God should repay them?” For from him and through
him and for him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen. Romans 11:33-36 NIV
As I too, am
awe-struck by the immeasurable depth of the riches of the Lord our God, I will
borrow a few descriptors from one of my favorite Chris Tomlin songs,
"Indescribable," to paint a picture of His supreme awesomeness:
indescribable, majestic, uncontainable, amazing, all-powerful, untameable,
unfathomable, incomparable, unchangeable, and the list could go on
indefinitely. No mere mortal words can ever describe nor begin to understand
and explain the infinite complexity and wonder of the Lord our God. And that
same God knows the number of hairs on your head, knows you by name and His
special name, and had you in His heart and mind from before time itself began.
Wow, what a welcome homecoming it will be!
