A daily dose
of His Word and time with Him, makes a huge difference in the way your life
unfolds. Following hard after Him brings a peace into your world and calms the
choppy seas.
August's Message, Day 1:
“Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all
the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the
left, that you may be successful wherever you go. Keep this Book of the Law
always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful
to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be
discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:7-9 NIV
It's truly
amazing what blessings pour forth from heaven if we are just obedient to His
Word and to His ways. He does ask us to follow hard after Him, knowing His Word
and pondering it often, and diligently doing what He asks. It takes effort, but
the benefits are numerous. Prosperity and success is within our reach, and we
can be strong and courageous in Him, without fear, and without discouragement,
because the Lord our God is with us wherever we go. Nice perk. If you're
struggling a bit with the events and direction of your life, getting to know
Him and His Word just a little bit better goes a long way to clearer sailing
ahead.
