Love—A Formidable Force

Maybe love does make the world go ’round?

February’s Awakening, Day 10

We look forward to the time when the power to love will replace the love of power. Then will our world know the blessings of peace.

 —William Gladstone

What’s earth with all its art, verse, music, worth compared with love, found, gained and kept?

 —Robert Browning

Real love is a force more formidable than any other. It is invisible—it cannot be seen or measured, yet it is powerful enough to transform you in a moment, and offer you more joy than any material possession could.

 —Barbara De Angelis

In a perfect world with perfect love we’d have perfect harmony and peace. Even though we know that nothing in this world is perfect, it should never stop us from loving as though it were. Maybe it is the imperfection itself that motivates us to love ever the more. This is certain—we cannot love too much nor can this world have too much love. True love is a characteristic that needs no boundaries if exercised within the context of always acting in the best interest of another. It is not “spoiling” someone, as that certainly is not in the person’s best interest. There is much wisdom to be infused with that love so that its fullest extent can be exercised with all good judgment. So love. Love to the fullest extent that you can.
