Be worthy,
be transformed by His power, and let His glory shine through. Continually pray
and press on, learning from the past, changing in the now, and hoping for the
future.
July's Message, Day 2:
With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that
our God may make you worthy of his calling, and that by his power he may bring
to fruition your every desire for goodness and your every deed prompted by
faith. We pray this so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you,
and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ. 2
Thessalonians 1:11-12 NIV
The single
most important thing that you should be praying for yourself and for others, is
that God's Spirit would continually transform, mold, and shape each of us into
the godly person that He wants us to be. We are made worthy by His power,
bringing forth the transformation of the mind and the renewal of the heart. It
is by this transformation that we bring glory to Him and His glory shines through
us. Pray constantly for this change to take place and for your cooperation with
this change. If you are not willing and resist, change will not take place, and
you will live the life of a believer stuck in quicksand, never able to break
free into the realm of spiritual maturity. You must throw off the chains daily
and grab His hand to pull you out of the muck and mire of your past and press
on toward the bright future He's prepared for you.
