Redeeming the Time

“When I was a child, I laughed and wept,

Time crept;

When as a youth, I dreamed and talked,

Time walked;

When I became a full grown man,

Time ran;

When older still I daily grew,

Time flew;

Soon I shall be traveling on,

Time gone.”

     The sand in the hourglass of our time is sifting steadily away. Have you contemplated where you have been and where you are going? Are you moving forward in the will of God, fulfilling His mission and purpose for your life? If not, it’s time to start. It’s introspection and evaluation time—it’s time to make the grade and to fulfill your destiny, and to live it out with passion. Make today the day, for tomorrow you may be traveling on.

“Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil. So then do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.” Ephesians 5:15–17 NASB
