If you have
a God-given talent with a passion to use it for the benefit of others that very
well may be your life purpose.
December’s Awakening, Day 4
Do all the good you can
in all the ways you can
at all the times you can
to all the people you can
as long as ever you can.
—John Wesley
So live for
the kingdom of God. Seek to bring glory to Jesus Christ and the Lord will use
you. It is my prayer, my constant and daily prayer, that God would keep me
useable.
—Chuck
Smith
As
the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead. James 2:26
NIV
“Faith
without deeds is dead.” Good works for the betterment of the kingdom of God is
the natural and essential outflow of our belief in Jesus Christ and our sincere
gratitude for His sacrifice for us. If you’re not giving back something of this
nature, one would seriously question the validity of your belief and faith in
Him. These good deeds need not be extravagant, just positive works from your
hand and encouraging words from your heart. Anything done for the sake of
others rather than self would qualify. This in fact may be your calling and
purpose—to lift up the body of believers in a varied and a uniquely-you kind of
way. Remember, sometimes it’s the little things that have the greatest impact
on people’s lives. God has given you your talents for a reason, and those
talents very well may be the foundation of your life purpose.
