Endure for the Gospel

Be chained to Him and endure it for the Gospel. You are the message that the world needs to see and hear.

May's Message, Day 14:

Remember Jesus Christ, raised from the dead, descended from David. This is my gospel, for which I am suffering even to the point of being chained like a criminal. But God’s word is not chained. Therefore I endure everything for the sake of the elect, that they too may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus, with eternal glory. Here is a trustworthy saying: If we died with him, we will also live with him; if we endure, we will also reign with him. 2 Timothy 2:8-12a NIV

Suffering for the Gospel is nothing new. Even today, Christians, missionaries, and evangelists are persecuted in many countries abroad. They are bringing God's message of salvation and discipleship to the ends of the earth. Many will be martyred, but in death, live with Him. They endure it all for the sake of Him, as there is nothing more important than the message of salvation through Christ. Be proud that you are a Christian and stand firm in your faith. Love all people regardless of where they stand, but always be prepared for those fleeting opportunities to show them why you have His hope inside you. No one can reject your own testimony of Him in your life, and nothing is more powerful. You are His disciple, and you are His Bible. You are the Good News that the world needs to hear. Share your hope in Him.
